Deposits & Payments
For events of a guest count of 80 or more a 20% deposit is required based off the food and beverage total. We accept personal or business checks, all major credit cards and bank transfers for deposits and final payments. Final payment is due by the day of the event. If for any reason you need to cancel your event, 50% of food and beverage cost before tax and gratuity is due to Le Chien Bleu Catering. All wedding receptions, no matter the size, will need to put a 20% deposit down to secure your spot with us.
Service Charge, Tax Policy & Event Pricing
Twenty percent service charge and current sales tax is added to all food and beverage charges. In order to receive an exemption from tax, a copy of the organization’s tax exempt letter must be supplied with the deposit.
Menus
All final menu selections must be made one month prior to your function. A uniform menu should be selected for your guests to ensure efficient service. For plated dinner service, two menu entrée items may be selected, but the vegetable and starch must be streamlined. This ensures quality and timeliness. It is the host's responsibility to provide Le Chien Bleu with an exact count of each entrée no later than 2 weeks prior to the event, and also provide each guest with a place card indicating their individual selections. We are happy to accommodate any special dietary needs with advance notice.

Event Attendance and Guarantees
To ensure proper service, we require a minimum guarantee of attendance 2 weeks prior to your function. Your guarantee is the number of guests that we are requested to serve and is the minimum number for which you will be billed. During the last two weeks your guest count can go up but not down. Le Chien Bleu will guarantee a 5% maximum service over the guarantee the client provides.
Alcohol Policy
Because we are a small, family run catering company and the majority of venues we cater at carry their own license we do not have a catering alcohol license. If the venue you choose to have your event in allows alcohol we can provide bartenders for $20/hr, plus 20% service fee.
